Validators

Validate, propagate and secure

A validator is an entity that participates in the consensus of the Echain Proof-of-Green-Authority protocol. They use ECT as collateral and verify and attest to the validity of blocks for building and securing the protocol.

As explained previously Proof-Of-Green-Authority (PoGA) is a consensus method that gives a small and designated number of blockchain actors the power to validate transactions or interactions with the network and to update its more or less distributed registry. In addition to having to run their node on non-carbon energy, validators will be trusted actors operating on a not-for-profit basis thus preventing from dumping.

Who are the validators?

At first, it is our team that will have the role of validator on Echain in a totally non profit goal in order to preserve the price action of ECT. No validator dumping here. Then our goal is clear, integrate the Proof-of-Green to the PoA consensus of Echain thus allowing the migration to Proof-of-Green-Authority. To do this, we will partner with trusted entities that will adapt to the validators' requirements and become network validators.

Become a validator

As mentioned before, we reserve the right to choose who becomes a validator on the chain, thus guaranteeing the security of the network.
